About Maungapu

Mount Maungapu is the highest point on the island of Aitutaki in the Cook Islands. Standing at just 124 metres (407 feet) above sea level, it provides the only true elevation on an otherwise flat atoll. Climbing to the top offers unmatched, 360-degree panoramic views of Aitutaki's world-famous sapphire-blue lagoon and surrounding coral reefs. The walk takes roughly 20 to 30 minutes to reach the summit.
