About Nepean Island
Nepean Island (known in the local Norfuk language as Nepeyan Ailen) is a small, uninhabited limestone islet spanning approximately 10 hectares (25 acres). It is located roughly 800 metres (0.5 miles) south of the main island of the Australian external territory of Norfolk Island. Managed under the Norfolk Island National Park, this tiny landmass functions primarily as a strict wildlife sanctuary.
