About Mount Pitt Lookout
Mount Pitt Lookout is one of the premier scenic vantage points on Norfolk Island, rising 318 metres above sea level inside the Norfolk Island National Park. It is just one metre short of Mount Bates, the island's absolute highest point. Beyond daylight sightseeing, it is an officially recognised dark sky viewing point, making it exceptional for stargazing once night falls. Pack a jacket, as the exposed peak can get incredibly windy even on bright, sunny days. Always check the weather before ascending.
