Taungaroro Beach

Taungaroro Beach is widely considered the best and most popular beach for swimming on the island of Atiu in the Cook Islands. Unlike many other parts of the island where the jagged coral reef sits directly onshore and limits water access, this picturesque cove offers easy, walk-on access to sandy shores and crystal-clear reef pools. There are no commercial shops, gear rentals, or food stalls anywhere near the coast. You must bring your own snorkelling equipment, food, and plenty of fresh drinking water for the day.
