About Makatea Cliff
Makatea is a raised coral atoll in French Polynesia known for sheer limestone cliffs rising 60 to 80 meters (200 to 260 feet) high. "Tamarua," on the other hand, is a distinct village and district located on the separate island of Mangaia in the Cook Islands, where an inner makatea cliff also reaches about 60 meters high.
