About Pala Lagoon

Pala Lagoon is a peaceful, square-mile body of water located on the southern coast of Tutuila Island in American Samoa, bordered by the villages of Nuʻuuli and Tafuna. A 300-yard offshore reef protects the shallow, calm lagoon from the open Pacific Ocean, creating a natural barrier that makes it a popular local hub for fishing, crabbing, boating, and scenic relaxation.
