About Tenaru Waterfalls

Tenaru Falls is a spectacular 63-metre waterfall tucked away in the lush tropical rainforests of Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands. Pouring dramatically into the Chea River, it is widely considered one of the most beautiful natural gems in the South Pacific, located roughly a one-hour drive and a steady jungle hike away from the capital city, Honiara. Hiring a local guide at the village or lodge is compulsory out of respect for kastom (local traditional ownership) and safety. Guides ensure you navigate the river crossings correctly and help manage local trail access rights.
