About Mount Rotui
Mount Rōtui is a dramatic volcanic peak rising 899 metres (2,949 feet) above the northern coast of Moorea, an island in French Polynesia's Society Islands archipelago. This iconic "emerald triangle" separates the island's two famous, deeply indented bays: Cook's Bay to the east and Ōpūnohu Bay to the west.
Climbing directly to the summit of Mount Rōtui is reserved strictly for experienced, sure-footed hikers with scrambler or rock-climbing experience.
